Where are we?
Mývatn Nature Baths are situated right by the Road no. 1 around Iceland (the ring road). When driving the road around the country clockwise, we are an hour away from Akureyri and from us there is a two hours drive to Egilsstaðir.
There are many beautiful attractions near our baths and by Lake Mývatn. The Mývatn area is known for its diversity in nature and landscape and breathtaking beauty - therefor often named the crown jewel of North Iceland. Due to the area's location, it is the perfect place to stay for a few days and explore the attractions in North East Iceland. We recommend this website, www.visitmyvatn.is, for information regarding accommodation, as well as restaurants, attractions and other helpful information.
For those that enjoy hikes in the nature there are beautiful paths around the lake where you can explore lava formations, geysers, birds and many other things. We offer a free map of the area at the reception and you can always ask our staff for recommendations.
